hey there sweetpea ! your secret santa here ! i see you're having some trouble and i hope you feel better. tell me brooke's favorite christmas memories & her favorite thing about christmas. what were her christmas' like when she was younger and how are they like now? *smooches ur nose and flies away*

_{hiya lovebug !! i’m so sorry that it took me so long to answer this, but i was feeling kinda down last night ( & this message cERTAINLY CHEERED ME UP ) – but i knew that this ask was probably gonna inspire some sorta mini meta, because i have a lot of feelings re: brooke & christmas. so oKAY HERE GOES NOTHING !!!!!}

_{brooke’s family has money. she’s not crazy rich or anything, but they’re more than comfortable & in a town like tree hill, they’re definitely at the top in the spectrum of financials. so around christmas time, & always really, there’s never a shortage of gifts. her parents are the type to buy her things, rather than give her affection – so i would say her holidays were actually pretty empty. she’d get whatever was on her list, but on christmas morning, it’s not like they’d sit & even watch her open them. her parents were pretty bad at keeping up the whole facade of santa too, frankly because they didn’t care much to. picture little brooke putting out cookies & milk for santa every year ( store-bought cookies always bc it’s not like her parents would bake with her – & some years victoria wouldn’t even remember to buy the cookies & she’d probably take some from her bff peyton’s house ) – & there being times where she’d come downstairs in the morning all excited, but the cookies & milk were left untouched. picture her mom saying to her that santa didn’t eat the cookies, because he’s on the atkins diet this year ( victoria davis voice: we all know the guy could stand to lose a few pounds !! ). basically, brooke’s childhood christmas’ aren’t the happiest.}

_{as she gets older, her parents become more & more absent – & she turns to a new holiday tradition with her best friend peyton, who’s mother passed away when she was young & her father is always gone for work, so they both end up alone. they order in chinese takeout & watch movies & basically wallow in their aloneness together. despite how sad that sounds, those are probably her best christmas memories, because she’s finally spending the holiday with someone that she considers to be family.}

_{for as spirited as brooke is, one would assume she’s really into christmas & other holidays, but because of the way her parents were, it’s not really until she has her own family that she gets super into the holidays. she wants to give her sons the memories that she never got to have – & given the fact that her husband is the most precious dork, you know that their christmas’ are probably all out amazing. she probably doesn’t decorate the house before thanksgiving, because she still thinks that’s ridiculous, but once it’s over she’s breaking out the decorations & decorating the house ( her childhood house – which she now lives in with her own family – her husband bought it for her, because she loves it so much, & she now has the chance to make that house into the home she always wanted it to be when she was little – which g o d, i always cry just thinking about that ). so basically the entire month of december is filled with holiday cheer. i picture her & julian coming up with super elaborate ways to display the boys’ elf on a shelf each night – i picture her supervising while julian bakes christmas cookies with the boys ( because god help us all if she tried to do it herself – she’s not a good cook ), i picture either haley & nathan & quinn & clay & their families ( & lucas & peyton too if they come home for the holidays ) all sitting around together on christmas eve while their kids beg them to let them open just one present before the morning. basically, brooke’s christmas’ as an adult are everything she never had as a kid.}

GUIDELINES

I. SELECTIVITY & FOLLOWING

As stated in the blog’s description, this is a PRIVATE roleplay blog. This means that for the most part, I only interact with mutual follows. This goes for everything ( threads, memes, etc. ). I do not do the whole follow for follow thing. In order to keep my stress level down, I prefer to not have my dash present itself as pure chaos. That means I limit the number of blogs I follow. If I don’t follow you back, please don’t take offense. It in no way, shape, or form means that I don’t think you’re a good writer. It may just mean that I’m not comfortable/familiar with the particular fandom your character is from, or that perhaps our writing styles don’t seem like they’d mesh. If you really want to plot with me and I don’t follow you back, go ahead and hop in my inbox. Perhaps we’ll come up with something great that’ll change my initial following decision.

II. SHIPPING & SMUT

This is a multi-ship blog. However, I’d greatly appreciate if you didn’t try and force ships on me. I’m a big believer in chemistry. Even if our characters were involved in canon, if our portrayals of them don’t have that spark, I reserve the right not to write it. I prefer to let ships develop from more simple interactions, because I’m a sucker for development. However, I’m not opposed to plotting shippy things, as well. Please keep in mind, though, that there is so much more than just romantic relationships that we can explore with our muses!

As for smut, I am twenty-three and will not write smut with anyone under the age of eighteen. Please don’t lie about your age in order to do so with me. I don’t write smut that often anyways, so lying about your age would be a waste of both of our time.

It’s important to note that while, yes, Brooke is a flirtatious and often promiscuous character, she is not a vehicle for sex. If your muse hits on her, do not expect to have her go on and climb them like a tree. I’m really only game for writing smut with those who have muses that have demonstrated quite a bit of chemistry with her and that are aware that smut is not the main focus of the plot we have planned for them.

III. PLOTTING

I am ALWAYS open to plotting. For the most part, I really do prefer having well thought out, in depth plots, over little one liners that often get dropped and don’t really end up going anywhere. That being said, some of my most favorite plots have come out of those sort of interactions, so it’s safe to say I write them quite a lot, but if you really want to find the way to my heart, shoot me a message to plot! I’ve got a wishlist that I’m always updating that you can take a look through, and if you’ve got a wishlist of your own, or just some plots you have in mind for our muses, come on and throw ‘em at me!

IV. GODMODDING

My muse is mine. I don’t tolerate any form of godmodding. If I feel you’re doing so, I won’t hesitate to message you. I promise to be kind about it. For the most part, people don’t realize that they’re doing it and I completely get that. However, if there are multiple offenses, I will most likely terminate the our thread, and possibly unfollow the offender all together.

In this verse, Brooke is a recent transplant in Mystic Falls. After the events that took place in the canon of season 2 of One Tree Hill, rather than having to possibly move to California with her parents, her dad is offered a position near Mystic Falls, and she’s forced to move with her family. She’s unaware of the supernatural, for now.

CLOTHES OVER WEREWOLVES ?
After the events of season 2, instead of being able to stay in Tree Hill, Brooke ends up having to move out to California with her parents after all. She’s completely unaware of the supernatural activity in this supposedly sleepy little town.

This verse follows a similar arc to Brooke's canon time-skip verse, only, instead of moving to New York to start her career, she moves to Star City. She runs Clothes Over Bros from a building owned by Queen Consolidated.

This becomes canon divergent after season 2 of One Tree Hill. Rather than possibly having to move to California, Brooke & her family end up relocating to Lima, Ohio. She’s offered a spot on the Cheerios, after an initial rejection from Sue. However, even with her instant rise to the top of McKinley’s social hierarchy, she’s still having trouble finding her niche at her new school.
